Salary of ANM in Central Government departments like ESIC, AIIMS, RRB, CGHS and Railways is almost similar.  Various local bodies like MCD and some state government also provide the salary on same line.

Salary of ANM In Private Hospitals

The starting salary of ANM in private hospital varies.  It depends on weather the hospital is small or big, and also its recruitment policies.

Starting salary of ANM in small Nursing homes and hospitals  range from 10000 to 15000 rupees Per Month.

Reputed hospitals in private sector provide  starting salary in the range of of 20000 to 25000 rupees per month.

Salary Of ANM In Central Government Departments

In government sector staff nurses are recruited at level 4 according to 7th pay commission.   or at grade pay 2400 according to 6th pay commission. The starting basic pay  of ANM at level 5 is 25500 rupees per month.

In Tier 1 metro cities like  Delhi Mumbai Bengaluru Hyderabad ANM gets 24% h r a allowance.  Other allowances are also given like travel allowance and dearness allowance.

So gross starting salary of  RRB ANM, AIIMS ANM, ESIC ANM,  CGHS ANM will be around 34000 rupees per month.   So  Gross salary is around 37000 rupees. 

The in hand salary of ANM will be  3000 to 4000 lower than the gross salary, because some salary is  cut for National pension scheme and medical charges etc.

Staff nurse also get some more benefit like dress allowances, medical benefits,  children’s education fees benefits etc.

Salary Of ANM In State Governments

State Government the salary of staff nurse is generally lower as compared to  department controlled by the central government.

States like Delhi , Punjab, Maharashtra and Bihar pay good salaries to the staff nurse. Comparable to central government in the range of 30 to 37000 thousand rupees per month. Also the southern states like Kerala pay good salaries.

While on the other hand states like Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Gujarat etc pay lesser salaries. Usually in the range 20000 to 30000 rupees per month.

Salary of ANM On Contract

Salary of ANM on contract vary from 12000 to 28000 rupees per month across departments. States which pay less salary to regular ANM pay lesser salaries to contract ANM also. Departments which pay good salary to permanent ANM pay respectable salary to ANM recruited on contract basis.
